An initiative to bring new technologies for the manufacturing of metals and metallic parts closer to European SMEs will take place in Saarbrucken on 9 November 1994. It is organized by the Centre for Productivity and Technology of the Saarland region, ZPT-Saarland, in association with the VALUE Relay Centres for the East of France, Luxembourg and the South of Germany.

The event will take the form of a VALUE technology transfer day. Its aim is to favour the development and industrial exploitation of technologies, products and know-how stemming from EU RTD projects in the field of the metallurgy industry.

The event is divided into three thematic sessions:

- Quality control;
- Materials;
- Manufacturing techniques.

Five innovative technologies will be presented. The owners of these technologies are open to collaboration with a European industrial partner in order to study specific problems, transfer know-how or perform a pilot installation.
