'The power of programming - developmental origins of health and disease', Munich, Germany
Nutrition during pregnancy and infancy can exert important long-term effects on development and health. Programming effects of early nutrition are important with regards to biomedical research, nutritional and health care practice, and policy decisions.
Recent findings, knowledge and future perspectives on the fascinating relationship between maternal and infant diet and the various biochemical, physiological and health outcomes at later ages will be presented. Session topics will include:
- early life programming: health outcome and later disease,
- mechanisms of early life programming,
- public health and economic impact of early life programming,
