New technologies in the European textiles sector

The Franco-Italian Association for Industrial and Technological Research, AFIRIT, is organizing a seminar on "New technologies in the European textiles sector", to be held on 25 November 1994 in Milan. It is supported by the European Commission, DG XII, in the framework of the Community's CRAFT programme for RTD in the field of industrial and materials technologies.

The seminar will examine the opportunities offered by the European Union for collaboration and financing. Its aims are to:

- Examine the orientations of technological research in the textiles sector in Europe, and in particular in France and Italy;
- Identify the themes for collaboration between enterprises, research centres and universities in France and Italy;
- Explain how to participate in the Community research programmes, in time for the forthcoming calls for tender in December 1994.

Participants will have the opportunity to consult the Community's electronic information services on research, such as the CORDIS and ARCADE databases.
