The Italian VALUE Relay Centres, RECNOVA and ARC, are organizing a workshop on "Telematics applications for services of public interest: medical cures (AIM)". It will take place in Genoa, Italy, on 28 November 1994.

The objective of the Community's AIM (Advanced Informatics in Medicine) programme is to stimulate the development of harmonized applications of information and communications technologies in health care. In 1994-1998, AIM will be covered by the TELEMATICS programme of the Fourth Framework Programme for research and technological development.

The workshop will focus in particular on the role of telematics applications in providing medical cures. Current Community-funded projects will be presented and the research market in telematics applications for health care will be discussed.
