'New techniques and technologies for statistics', Brussels, Belgium
The event will look at the the impact of new technologies on statistical collection, production and dissemination systems organised by Eurostat and with strong links to the Framework Programmes for Research and Development. It is also intended to stimulate and facilitate the preparation of new innovative projects and encourage co-operation and possible building of consortia by researchers with the aim of enhancing the quality and usefulness of official statistics.
Five projects funded by the Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) Work Programme of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) will be highlighted at the event:
- 'Advanced methodologies for European laeken indicators'(Ameli);
- 'Blue enterprise and trade statistics' (Blue-ets);
- 'Policy influence of indicators' (Point);
- 'Representativity indicators for survey quality' (Risq);
