Third International Conference on the Theory of Information Retrieval, Bertinoro, Italy
Information retrieval deals with searching for documents, information within documents, metadata about documents and searching the internet and relational databases. Building on its library science roots, the field has expanded beyond the information and computer sciences, and now extends into mathematics and linguistics, dealing with challenging new areas like physics, philosophy, sociology and biology.
The purpose of the conference is to present, discuss, analyse and integrate new theoretical results in information retrieval. Topics will come from not only traditional and already well-established fields, but also from new theoretical, experimental or practical approaches. For further information, please visit: http://www.ictir11.org/(opens in new window)
