An even entitled 'Workshop on artificial intelligence technologies in resource-constrained devices' will take place from 28 to 30 March 2012 in Salamanca, Spain.

The concept of the 'internet of things' refers to a world with plenty of small autonomous devices capable of acting independently and cooperating with the others in a seamless and flexible manner.

In such a realm, there is a need to give special attention to a number of heterogeneous platforms and execution environments with special needs and limitations. Artificial intelligence techniques may help in the engineering process of developing applications and services for the internet of things, and especially to such specific hardware.

The workshop will seek to foster discussion about the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the scope of resource-constrained devices such as embedded systems, sensors and hand-held devices like smart phones. For further information, please visit: http://www.paams.net/ARCD12(opens in new window)
