International symposium HIV and emerging infectious diseases, Marseille, France
The prevention and control of infectious diseases is a critical component for protecting the health of any community. The global economy, international travel, and migration all contribute to the potential for infectious diseases to spread to new populations. Although progress has been made in the global fight against HIV/AIDS, other diseases such as viral hepatitis and other emerging infectious diseases continues to devastate the international community.
The conference will aim to focus on current 'hot topics' in HIV research: understanding the mechanisms of HIV persistence and maintenance in reservoirs, trying to find a cure... and look into socioeconomic and policy aspects of infectious diseases through a global approach.
This conference will bring together the scientific community involved in this field with the aim to provide a better understanding of infectious diseases', discuss new tools including preventive vaccine, and exchange developments of new and more effective treatments. For further information, please visit: http://www.isheid.com/(opens in new window)
