40th Symposium on Principles of Programming Languages, Rome, Italy
A programming language is an artificial language designed to communicate instructions to a machine. Most programming languages describe computation in a series of commands, although some, such as those that support functional programming or logic programming, use alternative forms of description. The description of a programming language is usually split into the two components of syntax (form) and semantics (meaning).
The event will be a forum for the discussion of all aspects of programming languages and systems, with an emphasis on how principles underpin practice. For further information, please visit: http://popl.mpi-sws.org/2013/(opens in new window)
