'NEUROPT project workshop', Milan, Italy
The event will look at the results of the EU-funded 'Non-invasive imaging of brain function and disease by pulsed near infrared light' (NEUROPT) project. The workshop's agenda will include a wide variety of discussions based on the individual components of the project, including:
- novel strategies for time-domain diffuse optical imaging of the brain;
- development and testing of novel photonic devices;
- modelling and computation;
- development of instrumentation for clinical applications;
- standardisation and quality assurance;
- processing and analysis of clinical data;
- clinical tests;
- evaluation of novel methodologies.
The aim of the project has been to the development and clinical validation of advanced non-invasive optical methodologies for in-vivo diagnosis, monitoring, and prognosis of major neurological diseases (stroke, epilepsy, ischemia), based on diffuse optical imaging by pulsed near infrared light. The project brought together 17 entities from the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland and Italy.For further information, please visit: http://www.neuropt.eu/pdf/nEUROPt_Final%20Programme.pdf(opens in new window)
