'Cultural heritage in Cross-Language Evaluation Forum' and 'CLEF 2012 conference', Rome, Italy
The EU-supported 'Participatory research laboratory for multimedia and multilingual information systems evaluation' (PROMISE) project is sponsoring the event. The main aim is to further movement towards a systematic and large-scale evaluation of cultural heritage digital libraries and information access systems.
Data test collections and queries will come from the cultural heritage domain and tasks will contain a mix of conventional system-oriented evaluation scenarios (e.g. ad-hoc retrieval and semantic enrichment) for the cultural heritage domain.
The workshop will take place at the same time as the 'CLEF 2012 Conference and Labs of the Evaluation Forum' event. It will examine a broad range of issues in the fields of multilingual and multimodal information access evaluation, and highlight the different aspects of mono- and cross-language information retrieval systems.For further information on the workshop, please visit:
