Storage methods span many approaches, including high pressures, cryogenics, and chemical compounds that reversibly release hydrogen upon heating. However, a lack of practicality in application has hindered the more widespread use of hydrogen fuels, which are both renewable and environmentally clean. As a result, most research into hydrogen storage is focused on storing hydrogen as a lightweight, compact energy carrier for mobile applications. The event will bring together scientist and other stakeholder to present current status and future trends for possibilities for hydrogen storage in solid compounds. Session topics include:- challenges and future perspectives in obtaining hydrogen storage materials based on lightweight elements;- status, challenges and future possibilities with nanoporous materials;- possible short-term applications. For further information, please visit:http://www.ife.no/arrangement/materials-for-hydrogen-storage-2012/materials-for-hydrogen-storage
