Support for RTD in computer-aided design

A workshop entitled "Support for research and technological development in CAD" will take place in Brussels on 9-10 February 1995.
The workshop is one of a series being organized by EUROCAD and the Norwegian Institute of Technology and CID Engineering of Italy. EUROCAD was established under the European Commission's COMETT programme to create a Europe-wide cooperation mechanism in the field of computer-aided design (CAD), to promote training and related activities promoting the use of CAD, and to influence the development of CAD products.
The workshop will provide an update of key funding opportunities available for CAD under the Fourth Framework Programme and will offer advice and guidelines on how to prepare proposals.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the opportunities for SMEs in this area. EC research and technology programmes provide a good framework for SME participation in RTD which facilitates the sharing of risks and costs.
The workshop will provide guidance on how to evaluate an organization's potential to participate in Community-funded research as well as how to manage intellectual property.
