41st European Society for New Methods in Agricultural Research Conference, Stará Lesná, Slovakia
Agriculture has played a key role in the development of human civilization. Modern agronomy, plant breeding, pesticides and fertilizers, and technological improvements have sharply increased yields from cultivation, but at the same time have caused widespread ecological damage and negative human health effects. In recent years there has been a backlash against perceived external environmental effects of mainstream agriculture. Today, farmers and ranchers around the world develop new, innovative strategies to move towards sustainability in agriculture.
The event will look at research methodology in agricultural research. It will be an opportunity to bring together stakeholders and specialists in crop biology, ecology and improving plant growing technologies with research methodology and techniques of crop food, feed and bioenergy production in a changing environment. The agenda will also highlight recent advances in plant prebreeding using present-day achievements of molecular biology, genetics and eco-physiology.For further information, please visit: http://www.esna.uniag.sk/(opens in new window)
