The 'World congress of clinical lipidology' will take place from 6 to 8 December 2013 in Budapest, Hungary.

Dyslipidaemia arises from abnormal amounts of lipids (e.g. cholesterol and/or fat) in the blood. In developed countries, most dyslipidemias are hyperlipidemia, that is, an elevation of lipids in the blood. Often due to diets and lifestyle, these lipid disorders are the most important treatable risk factors in cardiovascular diseases. While effective drugs are available to treat dyslipidemias, residual risk remains and many patients do not reach their targets (i.e. lower their cholesterol lever).

This conference will be a forum for attendees that deal with all aspects of lipid disorders from diagnosis to treatment, diet to novel lipid lowering drugs, and adverse events to compliance issues. For further information, please visit: http://www.clinical-lipidology.com(opens in new window)
