Obesity levels across Europe have starkly risen over the past few decades, placing a huge burden on healthcare systems. Obesity and its related conditions are a major risk to public health in the development of chronic diseases.

This congress covers obesity-related causes and effects. Areas of discussion include nutritional behaviour, environmental influences and obesity as a gateway to other diseases.
