The 'Week of Innovative Regions in Europe' (WIRE 2014) will take place from 12 to 13 June in Athens, Greece.
WIRE 2014 covers three thematic areas: European funding for regional development 2014-2020; business driving regional innovation; and scientific excellence, open data and knowledge re-use for regional growth. The conference will present best practices, new policy instruments for the current programming period and scientific recommendations for knowledge reuse. Confirmed participants include high level EU officials, representatives of the World Bank, and managers from regional associations, research institutions and clusters.
There is no registration fee however participants are obliged to register online. WIRE 2014 is organised under the auspices of the Greek Presidency of the EU by the National Documentation Centre of Greece (EKT) and the European Commission, in collaboration with the General Secretariat for Research & Technology.For more information, please visit:
