The European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN) is organizing a seminar on "The Business Innovation Centre", which will take place in Brussels on 29 March 1995.

The seminar will enable participants to acquire a deeper insight into the concept of the Business Innovation Centre (BIC), its advantages for regional and local economic development, and for local SMEs, and how a BIC can be set up and run successfully.

Originally created by the Commission's Directorate-General for Regional Policies (DG XVI), Business and Innovation Centres (BICs) now number over 100, located mainly within the EU, but also in surrounding countries. To date, over 4,000 innovative SMEs have been created. EBN was created at the same time to coordinate and develop the BIC network.
