A congress on "Low energy buildings" will take place in Fulda, Germany, on 1 June 1995. It is organized by CORA, a member of the OPET network, in the framework of the Commission's THERMIE programme for energy efficient technologies (DG XVII).

The aim of the event is to provide information on the technologies, potential fields of application, and economic efficiency of low energy buildings (especially new residential buildings). In particular, it will focus on the "passive technologies" used in the construction of low energy buildings, namely airtightness and controlled ventilation. The event will also cover:

- Hygienic aspects of living in low energy buildings;
- Technical and financial aspects of airtightness and controlled ventilation.

In addition, a visit to low energy buildings in Fulda will be organized.
