The second International Conference on Spatial Information Theory, COSIT '95, will take place in Semmering, near Vienna (Austria), on 21-23 September 1995.

The conference will focus on the theoretical aspects of space and spatial information, including the construction of geographic information systems (GIS). It will deal with all aspects of large scale or geographic spaces and the description of objects, processes or events within them. Topics for discussion include:

- Cognitive structure of space;
- Social and cultural organization of space;
- Structure of geographic information;
- Quality aspects of geographic information;
- Computational geography;
- Spatial analysis and modelling;
- Design of generic elements for GIS interfaces;
- Administrative and legal processes in space.
