In the framework of the THERMIE programme for energy efficient technologies, the European Commission, DG XVII, is organizing a workshop on "European technologies for the upgrading of existing geophysical data". It will take place in Beijing, China, on 14-15 June 1995.

The two-day workshop will examine European technologies that are applicable to the upgrading of existing geophysical data, including seismic, gravity magnetic, well log and other data, in China. It will also discuss their applicability as valuable resources for locating new oil and gas reserves in China.
