Russia/EU Coal Industry Conference and Exhibition

A Russia/EU Coal Industry Conference and Exhibition will take place on 20-23 June 1995 in Moscow. The event, the theme of which is "Coal in a competitive market", is organized in the framework of the Commission's THERMIE programme (DG XVII) for efficient energy technologies.

The aim of the conference and exhibition, which will run in parallel, is to increase the demand for coal from Russia and other East European sources in the developing competitive markets. They will also enable experienced managers from the West and East European coal industries to meet and share their knowledge.

The topics of the exhibition and conference are as follows:

- Market strategies for the promotion of Russian coal;
- Demand side technologies;
- Environmental improvement equipment;
- Business mechanisms;
- Financing options.
