Multimedia content for the information society

Two information days on "Multimedia content for the information society" will take place in Linz, Austria, on 25-26 September 1995. They are jointly organized by the European Commission (DG XIII/E), the Austrian Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Austrian Ministry of Science, Research and Arts.

The aim of the information days is to inform interested parties about developments taking place in Europe and in Austria in relation to the European information society.

The first information day on 25 September, subtitled "The Austrian day", will provide an overview of national industry activities, followed by a visit to Hagenberg Software Park.

The second information day on 26 September, subtitled "The European day", will include presentations on the Austrian approach and the EU approach to the information society. An Austrian industry viewpoint will be followed by a review of EU multimedia initiatives. The new INFO 2000 programme will be introduced.

There will also be an accompanying exhibition of Austrian industry demonstrations and EU projects.
