IX International IUPAC Symposium on Mycotoxins and Phycotoxins

The IX International IUPAC Symposium on Mycotoxins and Phycotoxins will take place in Rome on 27-31 May 1996. It is organized by the Italian Istituto Superiore de Sanita, with sponsorship from the Commission's Standards, Measurements and Testing programme of the Fourth Framework Programme (1994-1998).

The symposium will address the specific needs of developing countries in mycotoxin and phycotoxin analysis. The following topics will be discussed:

- Global significance of mycotoxins and phycotoxins;
- Food safety: mycotoxins and phycotoxins in perspective;
- Overview of international mycotoxin and phycotoxin programmes.
