International Market of Advanced Technologies - SITEF '95
Supported by the European Community, this international trade fair, held on a bi-annual basis since 1981, provides a unique opportunity for industries, research organizations, and decision/policy makers to examine and discuss key advances in technology.
The objective of SITEF is to provide a setting for the exchange of information and the transfer of technology at an international level. It includes an extensive exhibition area dedicated to five main key industry areas:
- Aeronautics and space;
- Land transport and transport infrastructure;
- Information and communications;
- Industrial production;
- Natural resource and life industries.
This year's edition will, in addition, present a series of five international conferences:
- Space and aeronautics ... navigation by satellite: organized in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), Eurocontrol and the Midi-Pyrénées region of France (24-25 October 1995);
- International Federation for Automotive Control (IFAC) conference on the theme "Intelligent components for independent and semi-independent vehicles and their application in the automobile and mobile robotic sectors" (25-26 October 1995);
- Second National Congress of the French Association of Science and Information and Systems Technologies (AFCET) (25-27 October 1995);
- Sixth International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering (24-27 October 1995);
- New Communication Technologies for SMEs (25 October 1995).
SITEF '95 will, moreover, provide particular facilities for the promotion of technology transfer and the exchange of information between researchers and industrials. These will include:
- A Centre for Technology Transfer and Innovative Products, run by ARIST (Agences Régionales d'Information Scientifique et Technique), an EU VALUE Relay Centre;
- A space reserved for transfer structures aimed primarily at SMEs;
- Participation of the European Union's Joint Research Centre (JRC);
- Participation of CERN (European Centre for Nuclear Research) which will be presenting Internet and the World Wide Web.
