Proposal preparation workshops for BRITE-EURAM III and ESPRIT IV

The Institute of European Trade and Technology (IETT), in the UK, is organizing a series of intensive one-day courses for British organizations interested in applying for research funding from the European Union's specific programmes in the areas of industrial materials and technologies (BRITE/EURAM III) and information technologies (ESPRIT IV) under the Fourth Framework Programme for research and technological development and demonstration (1994-1998).

The workshops will cover all aspects of proposal preparation, consortia, contractual matters and related issues. In particular they will provide:

- Step-by-step instruction covering proposal preparation, submission of applications, signing of contracts and project management;
- Insights into how to attract evaluators attention and obtain good marks;
- Discussion and clarification of programme objectives which need to be reflected in proposals;
- Information on Commission priorities for the programmes;
- Group discussions;
- Projects appraisal.

The workshops are being organized in close collaboration with the UK Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the BRITE/EURAM UK Helpline. They will be attended by experienced EU assessors and leading experts and will include step-by-step tutorials, group exercises and discussions, as well as individual consultation sessions.
