The Forbairt VALUE Relay Centre in Ireland is organizing a "Standards, Measurement and Testing Exchange of Experience Forum" to be held in Dublin, Ireland, on 29 September 1995.

In 1995, the Commission established a pilot action to improve the quality and the level of participation of five Member States (Ireland, Spain, Portugal Italy and Greece) in the Community's specific research and technological development programme in the field of standards, measurement and testing (1994-1998). This pilot action is being coordinated, in each of these countries, by the VALUE Relay Centres.

The aim of the forum is to present the experiences in each of the five target countries, following the completion of the first call for proposals and selection of proposals, and to report on the most recent developments in this area.

The event is divided into two parts:

- Presentation, by the European Commission, of the technical objectives for the selection of projects in different areas within the programme;
- Review of the work carried out to date under the Commission's pilot action and of possible means of improving the work undertaken.

The forum is aimed at all those interested in submitting a proposal under the Standards, Measurements and Testing programme.
