Safecomp'95 - The 14th International Conference on Computer Safety, Reliability and Security

The 14th International Conference on Computer Safety, Reliability and Security, Safecomp'95, will be held in Belgirate, Italy, on 11-13 October 1995. The conference is being organized by the Institute for Systems Engineering and Informatics of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre, in collaboration with the European Workshop on Industrial Computer Systems, Technical Committee 7 (EWICS TC7).

Safecomp was initiated EWICS TC7 in 1979 and has been held on a regular basis ever since. It is an annual event which reviews the state of the art, experiences and new trends in the areas of computer safety, reliability and security. The conference focuses on critical computer applications and is intended to form a platform for technology transfer between academia, industry and research institutions. Topics to be covered in this year's conference will include:

- Safety guidelines, standards and certification;
- Reliability and safety assessment;
- Formal methods and models;
- Human and legal factors;
- Design for safety;
- Applications and industrial experience (case studies);
- Validation and verification.

In addition, Safecomp'95 will include, for the first time, an exhibition of software tools and products which have relevance to the areas of safety, reliability and security.

Safecomp'95 proceedings are being published by Springer Verlag, London and will be available on 11 October 1995.
