The third European Conference on Monitoring the Working Environment will take place in Dublin, Ireland, on 10-11 October 1996. The conference, which is being organized by the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, will address the following questions:

- How can working conditions be assessed at international, national, branch and company level?
- How can exchange of information between monitoring systems be facilitated and improved?
- How can information be accessed?
- How can information be transferred into preventive actions?

The conference is particularly designed for information specialists, policy-makers, managers and union representatives who are responsible for designing and setting-up preventative action programmes.

During the two-day event, the Foundation will present, demonstrate, assess and evaluate the results of its data collection and information systems in the area of health and safety.
