The European Software Institute is organizing a workshop on technology transfer to be held in Berlin, Germany, on 29-30 March 1996, within the framework of the International Software Engineering Week '96 (ISEW).

The workshop will present and discuss existing and planned public infrastructures for technology transfer. The role of education and training in technology transfer, as well as the issue of organization and communication models of technology transfer will also be discussed. Use will be made of case studies, both successful and unsuccessful, of examples of technology transfer.

The European Software Institute is a major industry initiative, founded by leading European companies to improve the competitiveness of the European software industry. It is supported by the European Commission under its specific RTD programme in the field of information technologies (ESPRIT).
