The 18th International IDATE Conference on "Cyberspace: Europe's advantage?" will take place in Montpellier, France, on 6-8 November 1996. It is organized by IDATE (Institute for Audiovisual and Telecommunications in Europe) with support from DG XII of the European Commission.

The conference will examine the implications of the latest developments and industrial strategies in telecommunications, information technology and audiovisual media. It is aimed at major industrial group leaders, users, researchers, academics, administrators and politicians in order to forge a better understanding of the future of the information sector.
