A EUREKA brokerage event, "Factory - Future development of production", will take place in Berlin, Germany, from 16 to 17 September 1996. It is organized as a joint initiative of the EUREKA member states, with support from DG XII of the European Commission. EUREKA was established in 1985 as a cooperation programme between European firms and research institutes in the field of advanced technologies.

The brokerage event is intended to support the activities of the EUREKA umbrella "FACTORY-FF" (a EUREKA umbrella aims at creating EUREKA R&D projects in a particular technological field).

The theme of the event is the future development of production engineering and technologies. It will enable European industry and research institutes to exchange information and views in the field of production, to establish international contacts and find partners, and to stimulate innovative R&D cooperation projects.
