Fourth UNESCO Symposium, Workshop and Exhibition on "Toys for children's rehabilitation"
The Fourth UNESCO Symposium, Workshop and Exhibition on "Toys for children's rehabilitation" will take place in Düren, Rhineland (Germany), from 21 September to 6 October 1996.
More than 60 designers and experts from over 25 countries developed prototypes of new toys for handicapped children during the previous three UNESCO workshops in this field. This year's event will build on the results of these workshops and will present a variety of new ideas, designs and prototypes of toys and learning aids for handicapped children.
The symposium will provide an interdisciplinary and international exchange of experience in the field, while the workshop will enable participants to design new toys for handicapped children, focusing on designs that can be manufactured using simple materials and techniques. After testing, the toy designs will be published in a handbook.
The exhibition will present the results of the workshop.
