ESPRIT Information Day in Brussels

ESPRIT, the Community's RTD programme in the field of information technologies, is holding an information day in Brussels, Belgium, on 23 September 1996. It is organized by DG III of the European Commission.

The main item on the agenda will be parallel information sessions on each of the programme's technical domains, in the context of the ESPRIT call for proposals expected on 16 September 1996. The domains in question are:

- Software technologies;
- Technologies for components and subsystems;
- Multimedia systems;
- Long-term research;
- Open microprocessor systems initiative;
- High-performance computing and networking;
- Technologies for business processes;
- Integration in manufacturing.

The information day will gather potential proposers from all 18 EU and EEA Member States and from other countries associated with the programme. Representatives from SMEs and from Central and Eastern Europe and Mediterranean countries are encouraged to participate.

Participants will be able to give a short presentation on their company or institute to indicate the areas of the call in which they are interested.
