An initiative of the Community's Training and Mobility of Researchers (TMR) programme, the contest was set up to promote the ideals of cooperation and interchange between young scientists.Only contestants who have won a top prize in a national young scientists competition can be entered for the contest. They are entered by the national organizers of the national contests that are held across Europe.
