A conference on future water quality management will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from 26 to 27 September 1996.
The conference, which will discuss European Community policy on a number of issues related to water quality management, will include presentations of the work of the European Environment Agency and a number of local and national case studies. Topics to be covered will include:

- Effects of European policy;
- Integrated water resources management;
- Water quality management in Central and Eastern Europe.
