An international conference entitled "Advanced microsystems for automotive applications" will take place in Berlin, Germany, on 2 and 3 December 1996. The conference is organized by VDI/VDE Technologiezentrum Informationstechnik, the Innovation Relay Centre for North Germany.
The aim of the conference is to discuss the complex microsystems which are a key element of the next generation of automobiles. The application of microsystems in four major areas will be discussed:
- Safety systems;
- Emission control;
- Anti-theft systems;
- Vision systems.
