Technology watch for economic success

A symposium on the theme "Technology watch and economic intelligence" will be held in Nancy, France, on 14 November 1996. The event is being organized by ATTELOR, the Association for Technology Transfer in Lorraine, a member of the European network of Innovation Relay Centres.

The aim of the event is to inform the managers of SMEs of the applications of technology watch in the preparation of their development and innovation projects. In particular, the event will focus on relevant information and its sources.

The programme for the symposium will have three components:

- The need for technical information in the management of SMEs;
- A presentation of the specialized resource centres at regional and national level in France;
- Success stories of enterprises who have used technology watch in development projects.

In addition, there will be a number of experts from technology watch and research information organizations attending. Participants will be able to receive advice on specific areas, and establish longer-term contacts with these experts.
