MILIA'97, an international multimedia exhibition and conference, will take place in Cannes, France, from 8 to 12 February 1997. The event is organized by Reed Midem Organization.

Interactive content providers and developers will be able to exhibit their products and establish contacts with others in the multimedia sector. The exhibition will provide opportunities for the promotion of new products, both through advertising and through press coverage. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see the results of a number of initiatives of DG XIII of the European Commission, including the INFO2000 programme for the development of multimedia content and a European multimedia industry.

The conference will provide an international overview of the multimedia market, giving details of the latest developments. The focus of the MILIA'97 conference will be the radically changing environment and the new international trends and strategies shaping the future of on-line and off-line content development.

In addition, prizes (Milia d'Or) for the best multimedia products will be awarded in a number of different categories.
