A sectoral meeting on carbohydrate bioengineering, organized within the framework of the Community's BIOTECH programme, will take place in La Rochelle, France, on 15-18 April 1997.
The meeting, which will address the theme "Carbohydrate active enzymes: structure, function and protein engineering", will bring together five projects in structural biology, funded under the BIOTECH programme. It is being organized by the University of La Rochelle, in collaboration with the European Federation of Biotechnology.
