Communications and multimedia security

A conference on communications and multimedia security (CMS'97) will take place in Athens, Greece, on 22 and 23 September 1997. The conference is organized by the International Federation for Information Processing.

The conference will review state-of-the-art issues as well as practical experience and new trends in the areas of communication and multimedia systems security. There may also be a review of developments in the field from European Community funded research. Topics to be covered during the conference will include:

- Communications systems security;
- Security in multimedia environments;
- Applied cryptography;
- Security in distributed systems;
- Security on the information highway;
- Secure teleworking, telecooperation, telemedicine;
- Legal, social and ethical aspects of communication systems security;
- Standards for communication and multimedia systems security.
