This conference, the main wind ener... 8 March 1993 - 8 March 1993 Germany In connection with its current wind-energy research and demonstration programmes, the Commission of the European Communities is sponsoring the biennial wind energy conference (ECWEC '93) to be held in Travemunde, Germany, on 8-12 March 1993. This conference, the main wind energy event of the year, aims to provide a forum for presentation and discussion of all aspects of wind energy including commercial applications, demonstration and R&D. Emphasis will be on European activities, with comprehensive coverage of European Community strategies and projects, plus an exhibition of modern international wind technology. Organizations considering participation in the exhibition are invited to apply for further information.Researchers and other interested parties professionally involved in the development and application of wind energy technology are invited to submit (before 21 September 1992) papers for the conference in the following areas: Planning and environmental issues; resource assessment; technology development; design criteria, testing and certification; design and testing of prototypes; applications; economics and business development. The official conference languages will be English and German.
