COMDEX Internet'97 & OBJECT WORLD'97
COMDEX Internet'97 is structured in tracks featuring:
- Enterprise-based technologies: the use of the Internet as a communication vehicle for employees, customers and vendors, featuring corporate Intranets, interactive databases and firewalls;
- Electronic Commerce: using the Internet to execute successful sales and marketing programmes and explore the commercialization of the Net;
- Development of Intranet-based applications: developing Intranet-based applications to solve key business problems, featuring the use of Java, VRML and HTML.
The OBJECT WORLD conference is structured in tracks including:
- The business of using objects;
- Implementing object technology;
- Distributed object computing;
- Object solutions for finance, telecommunications, healthcare and manufacturing.
OBJECT WORLD will also feature the Fourth Annual Object Application Awards 1997. Awards will be given out in four categories:
- Best implementation of a distributed application using object technology;
- Best application utilizing reusable components leveraged from or for use in other projects;
- Best use of object technology within enterprise or large system environments;
- Best application combining object technology and the Internet.
A combined exhibition will present products and services in the areas of object technology and the Internet. Over 100 exhibitors are expected to participate.
Mr. Bill Gates, Chairman and CEO of the Microsoft Corporation will present a keynote address on Wednesday, 8 October 1997. This will focus on new trends in Internet and Intranet communications.
