International Congress on Plasma Physics 1998
Both conferences bring together plasma physicists from a variety of fields, including nuclear fusion, space and astrophysical plasmas and plasma industrial applications, to discuss common problems in plasma physics. Topics to be covered will include:
- Basic plasma physics;
- Magnetic confinement experiments;
- Inertial confinement, laser plasmas and short pulse phenomena;
- Space astrophysical and geophysical plasmas;
- Plasma heating and current drive;
- Plasma diagnostics;
- General plasma and magnetic confinement theory and modelling;
- Non-linear phenomena and magnetic reconnection and self organized plasmas;
- Low energy density plasmas;
- Dusty plasmas;
- Plasma applications, processing and devices;
- Particle and radiation generation and beam production.
The congress is open to all scientists interested in plasma physics and related topics. The organizers are currently calling for the submission of papers on any of the above topics. Abstracts must be submitted by 31 January 1998 at the latest.
