"European Networking in the 90s", organized by The European Forum of IT&T Users with the support of the Commission of the European Communities, DG XIII, will be held on 6-7 July 1992 in the European Parliament Building, Brussels.

The Conference addresses the main issues affecting all European IT and Telecommunications users. Workshops over the two days will focus on: Communicating in a unified Europe; the progress of IT&T standardization; IT in public administration; data protection. Distinguished speakers include Michel Carpentier (General Director, CEC, DG XIII), the President of the European Computing Services Association (ECSA), and Tibor Pongracz (Secretary of State, Budapest, speaking on the rapid evolution of IT&T in Eastern Europe). Position statements will be made by the European hardware, software and telecommunications industries. A presentation of workshop findings will be followed by a final discussion of the requirements and benefits of transEuropean IT networking.
