The sixth Symposium on Analytical Sciences (SAS) will take place in Valencia, Spain, from 22 to 24 June 1998. The conference includes plenary lectures, oral presentations, posters and round tables.
The aim of the conference is to bring together both experienced and young scientists working in different fields of analytical sciences, both in applied and fundamental research. A series of seminars will be organized around the basic ideas of integrated actions between scientists from different countries and on the state-of-the-art and instrumentation for specific applications. One session will be devoted to the elaboration of research projects in the frame of the EU's Standards, Measurements and Testing (SMT) programme.
The major topics to be covered include:
- Research and development in analytical chemistry;
- Analytical instrumentation;
- Environmental analytical chemistry;
- Clinical analytical chemistry;
- Food analysis;
- Industrial quality control and process analysis;
- Geochemical analysis;
- Editing and publishing scientific literature in analytical chemistry.
