DECT 99, a conference on digitally enhanced telecommunications technology, will be held in Barcelona, Spain, on 26-28 January 1999. The event is intended to provide a forum for discussions on issues related to DECT technology and its application as a standard for both the residential and business segments of the wireless electronic communications market.
Full details of the first DECT data-only products will be made public at the exhibition which will include displays on the latest information and innovations in DECT technology. There will also be an examination of the deployment of DECT technology, pre-conference training with an introduction to DECT technology, and a series of post-conference workshops.
The event is being organised with the involvement of Ericsson, Siemens, Lucent Technologies, Alcatel, VLSI Technology and Mobile Communications International.
