United Kingdom
Whether you are a new or an established operator, National Regulatory Authority or trying to do business across the world, the World Telecomms Policy '99 will give you the opportunity to meet regulators, including the European Commission. The conference will take place in London between 2 and 4 February 1999.

This event, organised by European Public Telecommunications Network Operators' Association, will focus on issues such as global competition and trade policy, consumer protection and consumer rights, carrier pre-selection, equal access and convergence of services and the impact of electronic commerce.

On the third day, 4 February, a Regulation Masterclass will be held to define the parameters for regulation of the telecomms industry.

The three-day conference is dedicated to all the legal and commercial aspects of policy implementation. Speakers include Peter Scott, European Commission, DG XIII, and Dr Herbert Ungerer, DG IV.
