Professionals in the fields of land use and transport, from the public and the private sectors, as well as planners and policy makers are invited to attend the COST 332 Colloquium between 10 and 12 February 1999 in Lausanne, Switzerland.

This event is closely linked to the main objective of the European Commission, DG VII, COST 332 Action "Land-use and Transport Policies", which is "to assess the innovative institutional methods of coordination between transport projects and regional planning".

The Colloquium is intended to be a forum for the presentation of some of the case studies undertaken by the Action, and for debate on the objectives and different ways of coordinating both types of policies.

As a result of discussion that has taken place, COST 332 has identified three different types of coordination, which will constitute the skeleton of the programme:

- Coordination by procedure;
- Coordination as a principle of political action;
- Coordination by project.
