JRC raises profile at Essen
The JRC will contribute ten satellite stands, focusing on different topics:
- Identification of genetically modified organisms;
- Analysis on biomaterials;
- Techno-economic analysis supporting the European Union policy making;
- Reference materials;
- Analysis of safety of the nuclear fuel cycle;
- Global environmental monitoring;
- European-wide information and communication systems;
- Results of the European Laboratory for Structural Assessment;
- Renewable energies;
- Boron neutron capture therapy for the treatment of brain tumours.
This will be a new opportunity for the JRC with its eight institutes to focus on its role as the official research and pre-normative centre of the EU with a key role in supporting the EU in meeting new challenges.
